My favorite pale blue paint
In all my years of interior design experience, specifying interior and exterior paint colors has always been my most popular client question. As a lover of color myself I can spend hours researching and looking through color palettes to find my favorite go to colors! I have always found myself leaning towards the blue and green families and in over 25 years I have never seen the color navy blue go out of style. Recently I had a client want a pale blue neutral to change up the grey neutral areas of their home. I had been aware of the Sherwin Williams color Glimmer SW 6476 but had never studied it in detail before. It is a serene pale blue with just a tiny hint of green that brings a spa like feel to any environment! It has a LRV of 78 (a color Light Reflectivity Value- the scale goes from 0 (absorbs all light to to 100 (reflects all light) basically the higher the LVR is the brighter the color is in a space low on light). For a touch of a modern jewel tone dramatic pair this neutral with Sherwin Williams Grand Canal SW 6488 or Really Teal SW 6489.
